This is a routine I have been using prior to playing or hitting balls. I am rethinking some of my routines during the off-season. This can be done in less that 10 minutes.
Arm swings- forward and backwards
Overhead arm extensions holding a club
Side bends holding a club overhead
Toe touches
Squat with arm extensions holding a club
Truck rotation holding a club in golf posture
Rhythmic swings
All movements are performed 15 times in each direction.
All movements are performed in a smooth and continuous motion.
Additional movements may be added to deal with personal limitaions.
I am looking to tweek and improve this dynamic warm up. My goal is to prepare the body for play and reduce injuries.
